    Gail has been in recruitment for over 20 years and opened Michael Boyd back in 1999 with offices in Rayleigh, Essex. Those were the days before online job boards and when everything was paper-based. Dozens of filing cabinets with thousands of CVs! We had one computer for temporary payroll and back-ups were saved to floppy disks!  Things have moved on a lot since then with smarter and faster tools but the Michael Boyd philosophy hasn’t changed… ‘If we do a good job and provide a good service,  success will follow’. This is something Gail remains passionate about and even through recessions, Michael Boyd continued to succeed because clients and candidates trust us to do our job well.

  • Jill Weekes
    Jill Weekes Senior Recruiter

    Having worked for a Marketing Consultancy in Leeds for over 4 years and gained project management experience, Jill joined Michael Boyd in 2005, where she worked closely with Gail and played a crucial role in all areas of the business from recruitment, sales and marketing to operations, quality and project management. In 2012, Jill left the UK to travel for a few years and whilst continuing to work with Michael Boyd, she was also involved in other interests, from property management, business analysis, to technology and pharmaceutical publications. It is this broad knowledge and experience of a range of different industries and companies, that enables her to get to grips quickly with different job roles and efficiently introduce high calibre, suitable candidates to employers.
